Linder Sterling - Teen Perception Series

The image to the left was my original inspiration for the 'Teen Perception' series. It was taken by the photographer Linder Sterling, whose view on radical feminism is portrayed throughout her images. Sterling's images often feature a female in which she then places domestic items over their bodies in order to emphasise the cultural expectations of women.

I have taken Linder Sterling's original image into thought when creating my own photographer inspired images. I used the concept of 'Teen Perception', how nowadays  in modern society teenagers are often seen as shallow and ungrateful and are only concerned by the technological advances in society.  I developed this notion by creating  a series of images portraying the perception of teenagers, by taking a single image and then adding other images of items that are seen as important to teenagers.
